French Onion Dip



Hello everyone, are you ready for this storm we are supposed to get?  What a way to start off spring huh?  Well welcome to Maine, if you dont like the weather wait a minute.  So anyway I have made this recipe a hundred times and I figured now would be a good time as any to share it with you.  Maybe you can make this up and dip some veggies and crackers in it with a good book and watch the snow fall.  


Ingredients:


Depending on how much or how little you are making this about 1-2 onions add more if you need to
1/2 cup of sour cream
1/2 cup of mayo of your choice
salt and pepper for taste
A splash of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil


Instructions:


Dice up your onoins or cut them however you like.  Grab a large skillet and heat up the evoo and add the onions.  You want to caramelize them so let them cook for about 20 minutes or until they get deep brown in color.  Let them cool and then grab a bowl and add the mayo, sour cream, salt and pepper and worcestershire sauce and onions.  Mix until combined and put in the fridge to set up.  This makes a great dip for chips, veggies, crackers or you can even add it on top of a baked potato.    Have a great day everyone, live, laugh and love.

Simmer Pot



Hello everyone, today we are taking a departure from a food recipe.  We are still doing a recipe however its for a natural air freshener.  This one smells better than some air fresheners on the market and its made with all natural ingredients.  Now there are a million different recipes out there to make your own simmer pot.  This is the one I used and I have to tell you, it smells delightful in here.  Plus if you keep your simmer pot ingredients in the fridge when not in use they last up to 6 days !  So instead of all the dangerous ingredients that most air fresheners come with give this recipe a try, you may like it better than what you are using now!  


Ingredients:


6 dried Clementines
2 drops of vanilla
6-12 dried cranberries
about 6 cups of water


Instructions:


The idea for this recipe is to use fruit or flowers that are drying up and instead of throwing them away use them in your simmer pot.  So for the recipe I used was about 6 dried Clementines quartered.  Add all the ingredients but the water to a saucepan mix around and add the water.  Heat up to a boil than to a simmer.  About every 30 minutes add more water and keep it on the back of your stove.  The smell will go all through your house and it only gets more concentrated as the day goes on.  Of course if you are going to be leaving your house you will want to shut off your stove first.   I hope this was helpful to you and keep in mind you can use whatever fruit or flower you wish this is just what I had and it worked wonderfully.  Live, laugh and love all

Garlic Butter/ Garlic Toast Video Included



Hi everyone, so last night I made my American Chop Suey and with it I made garlic bread with homemade garlic butter.  I dont think I have put a recipe for garlic butter for you so here it is today. Its quick and easy to make and you can use it for other things besides garlic bread.  You can put it with pizza, add it to mashed potatoes for garlic flavor, basically you can use this on anything that you would put butter on aside from sweet stuff of course.  Although I know a few people who would consider dipping their cookies in this, I like garlic just not that much.  Okay so lets get this started.


Ingredients:


1/2 stick of unsalted butter melted
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
1 dash of salt to taste


Instructions:


In a microwave safe bowl add your butter.  Let the butter melt and take it out of the microwave and add the minced garlic first because you want the heat from the butter to heat up the garlic. Then stir in the rest of the ingredients.  As you mix it together dont be surprised if the butter hardens a bit its ok.  And there you have it, garlic butter you made yourself and you controlled all the ingredients in it, right down to the salt.  I hope you find this recipe useful in your future cooking adventures.  Live, laugh and love all!

American Chop Suey




Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.  We had a pretty good weekend it just went by way too fast.  Anyway today I have my recipe for American Chop Suey, now I am sure my friends that are not from New England might not know what this is, its like a goulash according to my husband.  I will just take his word for it since I have called this American Chop Suey my whole life.  So here is my version of this dish that has been made my whole life by my mother and grandmother.  


Ingredients:


1-2 cups of macaroni
1 large onion chopped
1 large bell pepper chopped
1 garlic clove minced
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 jar of spaghetti sauce or you can make and use your own
1 tablespoon of oregano
1 pound of ground beef or you can use turkey or chicken
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
half a jar of water I will explain this step


Instructions:


In a large pot with a lid add the extra virgin olive oil and add your chopped veggies.  Then add the garlic and ground beef.  Let them cook on medium heat (number 5) and break the meat up with a spoon or a spatula.  When the meat is cooked through depending on what that fat content is in your meat you will want to drain it.  If its a ground chuck you have to drain off the fat.  I use extra lean ground beef and it gives off very little fat so I dont drain it.  From here add your diced tomatoes, spaghetti sauce and take the jar of spaghetti sauce when the contents are emptied  into the pot and add water to it put the water into the pot and add your macaroni.  Cover for about 30-45 minutes checking about every 5 -10 minutes to stir so the macaroni wont stick to the bottom.  When the macaroni has absorbed all the liquid and is cooked, your ready to eat.  Sprinkle the parsley over the top for color and serve.  You can add a side salad and garlic bread or add veggies as a side.  It makes great left overs since its even better the next day.  
I forgot I add about a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar to the spaghetti sauce, it adds a rich and deep flavor without added calories.

Update:  I recently made a video of this using roasted tomatoes from our garden, the above recipe you could use if you do not have time to roast the tomatoes.  Also I used different spices in the video than this recipe.  Basically American chop suey is so versatile that any combination of spices and herbs will make it wonderful.  Here is the video enjoy!

Peanut Butter Honey Banana Nut Sandwich




Hello everyone, so to finish out the week of recipe blogs I thought I would put this one up that my daughters love.  The recipe today is an interesting twist on the traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  

Ingredients:

2-4 slices of toasted whole grain bread or bread of your choice
2-4 tablespoons of peanut butter (creamy)
1 handful of any nut you like I used cashews
a sprinkle of cinnamon
1-2 bananas sliced
1-2 tablespoons of honey

Instructions:

Put your peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl and nuke it for about 15-20 seconds just until the peanut butter is soft.  Next add your chopped nuts, honey and cinnamon.  After your bread is toasted slather it with the peanut butter mixture and add the sliced bananas.  Slice it in half and enjoy it with some sweet potato fries we made yesterday or a side salad or even some fruit.  This would also work with some bagels or leave the bananas off and use it for a dip for veggies.  Whatever you choose to do with it I think you will enjoy this.  Have a great weekend everyone, live, laugh and love.  See you all Monday!

Sweet Potato Fries



Hello everyone, so I have said a million times that I was making sweet potato fries but it never dawned on me to give you all my recipe for them.  Well consider today lucky Thursday because that is my recipe today.  They are just as easy as regular fries but they have a little bit more nutritional value.  Since sweet potatoes are not really a potato at all but they are in the squash family, so they have no fat, no sodium, they are high in beta carotene along with other vitamins and minerals that you body needs.  So here is the recipe and I am very excited about sharing this yummy treat with you all.


Ingredients:


1-2 large sweet potatoes if you are cooking for more people make more just figure about a half of a large sweet potato per person since they are very large.


1 teaspoon of garlic and onion powders
1 teaspoon of oregano 
1/8 teaspoon of ground red pepper (not the flakes)
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
cooking spray


Instructions:


Preheat your oven to 425.  Then start peeling your potatoes and cutting them in french fry  slices.  Put them aside and mix up your spices in a mixing bowl.  Next coat your sweet potatoes in the extra virgin olive oil.  Then put the fries in the mixing bowl with the spices and mix it around with your hands until all of the potatoes are coated.  From here line a cookie sheet with tin foil and spray your non stick cooking spray just to cover the foil on the cookie sheet.  Add your sweet potatoes onto the cookie sheet and bake for about 30-45 minutes depending on how crisp you like them.  This recipe is my families favorite and they all get excited when I make them.  I hope you all live, laugh and love everyone!

MishMawsh Gumbo



Hello everyone, Monday my friend Dawn asked me if I had any gumbo recipes and I do.  I have made this recipe at least twice for my husband, however I am not a fan of okra and that is what gumbo means.  In my gumbo I left it out, also gumbo calls for shrimp I cannot stand shrimp so mine has chicken and hot Italian sausage instead.  I have used smoked sausage and hot Italian sausage either one will work or use whatever sausage you like.  I dont know if my adjustments to this recipe still qualifies it as gumbo anymore but my husband says it does so I guess I will have to take his word for it.  Ok so let's get this started.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of celery finely diced
1 1/2 cups of bell pepper finely diced
2 cups of onions
1/4 cup of minced garlic
2 cups of green onion
1/4 cup of parsley
1/2 cup of veggie oil
1/2 cup of flour
2 pounds of diced chicken breast
1 pound of sausage of your choice, I used hot Italian sausage 
1 can of diced tomatoes
2 cups of rice
8 cups of chicken stock
Tabasco sauce to taste at the end
salt and pepper to taste at the end 




Instructions:


Heat up a very large heavy bottom pot and add your veggie oil and flour.  Constantly stirring until the roux turns a chocolate color.  Do not burn it if you do dump it all out and clean the pot and start over again.  After your roux is ready add your celery, onions, and bell pepper.  Cook them for about 5 minutes or just until soft.  Add in the garlic, chicken and sausage.  Cook until the meat is all done, add in the parsley, green onions  and rice.  Keep stirring very important.  Add in the tomatoes and chicken stock and cook for about 30 minutes to an hour on simmer.  When its through cooking but still in the pot add your Tabasco salt and pepper to taste.  Put it in a bowl with some crusty bread or bread sticks and you have something very yummy  and warm.  I hope you like this recipe and thank you Dawn for the suggestion.  Take care everyone, live, laugh and love.

Tuna Melt



Hi everyone sorry this recipe is coming up late, we had a few errands to run this morning in this weather.  This recipe is of my tuna melt muffin, now  this sounds like a lot of ingredients but rest assured once you get this going its not that bad.  I dont know the numbers on this but its not as bad as your typical tuna melt in the fat and calories, but it does have all the flavor.  

Ingredients:

1 small can of white albacore tuna (water packed)
1 diced green onion
splash of lemon juice
tomato slices
1 sweet pickle diced
1 dill pickle diced
1 teaspoon of mayo (add more if this is too dry for you )
1-2 whole grain english muffins toasted
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup of shredded cheese of your choice

Instructions:

Toast your english muffins in the toaster and preheat your broiler to 350.  You can use your broiler too however I always burn stuff when I use it lol.  Put all your diced veggies in a medium sized bowl.  Mix up the remaining ingredients except the cheese and tomatoes.  Next put your tuna on top of the english muffins and top with the sliced tomatoes and sprinkle the cheese over the top.  If you dont use all the cheese its ok you can put it back and use it another time or make some tomato soup and sprinkle the cheese over the soup.  This makes a great snack or a lunch with a side or two.  Check out my blog tomorrow when I will be attempting to make my gumbo.  Its not going to be traditional because I cannot stand okra and I am not impressed with shell fish.  If you like those things, as always you can add them to yours just dont invite me over for dinner lol.  As always live, laugh and love all.

Chicken Salad



Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.  Sorry I am getting a late start this morning with my blog, I had a hard time sleeping last night so my husband let me sleep in this morning.  So over the weekend I made myself some chicken salad and had it on a bed of lettuce with some crackers.  Now I will share my recipe with you all, it turned out so good my  4 year old ate hers on a sandwich and she ate the whole thing!  I hope you all enjoy this.


Ingredients:


1 can of chicken breast or you can use left over boneless skinless chicken breast
1 stalk of celery diced
1/4 cup of grapes diced
1/4 apple diced
1 teaspoon of mayo 
1 teaspoon of light ranch dressing  add more if its too dry
Salt and pepper
dash of paprika 
A squirt of lemon juice


Instructions:


After you diced up all your veggies and fruit add them to a medium sized mixing bowl.  Add the chicken and lemon juice and mix.  Add the salt and pepper then the mayo and ranch.  Mix until combined.  Add more mayo or ranch if its too dry for you.  Top it with some paprika for color and you have chicken salad to put on sandwiches, or on a bed of lettuce like I did or you can even use it on crackers.  Either way I hope you enjoy this recipe and stay tuned for tomorrow when I am will be cooking up something interesting.  Live, laugh and love all.

How to make your own butter



Hi everyone so today I figured I would be real with you all and show you all how to make real butter.  Now there has been all kinds of talk on how terrible butter is for you and that is true however if you learn to make this on your own its not any worse for you than heavy whipping cream and it doesnt have all the preservatives and additives like the store bought versions.  So today I thought I would show you how to make this and even though it will never be on a health food menu, this recipe is not as bad for you as the store's version.


Ingredients:


1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream sorry you have to use this if your making butter not subs.


Instructions:


There are two ways of doing this you can either put this in your food processor for 15- 20 minutes or less time.  Or you can do this by hand constantly for 15-20 minutes.  If you do this by hand put your heavy whipping cream into a small container with a lid and shake it for about 15-20 minutes and drain off the excess cream and you will have butter.  Or you can put the heavy whipping cream into the food processor and let it go until it looks like butter and starts to separate from the cream.  Drain off the excess cream and you have butter.  You can flavor this with salt and pepper or garlic or even herbs too.  


So even though its not health food its still better for you than the crap they sell in the stores and some of that stuff never goes bad so you can only imagine all the bad things they have in there to keep the shelf life forever.  I hope you all have a great weekend, live , laugh and love everyone!

Sausage and Peppers with Meatballs



Hello everyone, sorry I forgot to put up a post yesterday.  Happy St Patrick's Day as well.  This recipe is not an Irish meal but you can have this the day after if you wish.  Its my take on sausage and peppers.  I had to use up some ground beef so I figured to throw in some meatballs as well.  My family loved it and it seemed to have worked very well together too.
I cooked this all in my slow cooker and it came out great and was very easy to make, it just has a lot of ingredients.


Ingredients:

1 smoked sausage cut up
1 garlic clove minced
1 onion chopped
1 orange bell pepper or any color you choose sliced
1 red bell pepper sliced
1 can of diced tomatoes and juice
1 pound of ground beef
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 envelope of onion soup mix dry
Parmesan cheese
Egg noodles or any kind of pasta you like
1 egg

Instructions:

In a large skillet add some extra virgin olive oil and put in all the veggies just to get them soft.  Now add the sausage just until its heated through.  From here we add the veggies and the sausage to the slow cooker and top with a can of diced tomatoes.  Now onto the meatballs.  Mix the onion soup mix, egg and garlic and onion powder together.  Form little balls and fry them in the skillet you just used  for your veggies and sausage.  You just want to brown them not cook them all the way through because they will finish cooking in the slow cooker.  Add them into the slow cooker and put the slow cooker on low.  Cook for about 4-6 hours.  You can serve this alone with a crusty piece of garlic bread  or serve over any kind of pasta you like. Top with Parmesan cheese.  I served this with garlic bread over some egg noodles and it worked great.  Live, laugh and love everyone !

Im Back with a recipe for Potato Pancakes


Hello everyone, I am back from a much needed break.  You know when you get overwhelmed with everything that gets thrown in your lap at once?  Well that is where I was but I am back now and I ready to show you a few things I have cooked up since I was gone.  I made these potato pancakes for my husband last weekend.  I have never been a fan of them and every single recipe I have tried they were a complete mess.  I came across this recipe by watching some random youtube recipes and this one I thought surely I couldnt mess this one up.  I had to make a few changes to it and my husband was in love with these.  I am still not a fan of potato pancakes but hey if it makes him happy and isnt a bother for me to make, it doesnt matter right?  Ok so here is the recipe, enjoy!


Ingredients:


1 cup of water
1 egg
1 cup of leftover potatoes or instant potatoes
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 cup of flour to start




Instructions:


In a large mixing bowl add the water and eggs make sure the water is cold.  Beat the egg in the water and then add the potatoes and seasonings.  From here add the flour, if you need more than a quarter cup of flour you will have to eyeball it and slowly add the flour until its the consistency of pancake batter.  Next heat up a large skillet with extra virgin olive oil and spoon in your potato pancakes, they take a few minutes to crisp up so leave them alone.  The more you mess with them the more likely they are to fall apart.  When you can move the pancake freely in the pan and the outer edge is lightly browned its time for you to flip them.  The second side doesnt take as long to brown up, just give it a few minutes and remember the less you move them with the spatula the better.  When they can move freely just by tipping the skillet they are ready.  I served these with some spicy ketchup, its just ketchup, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper.  Give it a good mix and its done.  Have these with some fried eggs or just by themselves.  Here is a picture of how my husband enjoyed them.

Homemade Sloppy Joes


Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.  We actually had a fairly warm weekend with a lot of rain.  So today I thought I put up a recipe I made last week and yes the picture I am using is mine.  Homemade sloppy joes that gives the stuff in a can a run for its money.  My husband and I usually gage our cooking ability to our youngest daughter, we figure if she likes it, it has to be good.  Since she is very fussy, its very hard to get her to eat much.  She loved this and we did too.  Now I am going to pass the recipe off to you, enjoy!


Ingredients:


2 pounds of ground beef or turkey whatever you prefer
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
2 chopped celery stalks
2 garlic cloves ( I used 4 but if you dont like garlic that much use 2)
14 ounce can of mushrooms if you dont like mushrooms leave it out
1 can of tomatoes
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of mustard
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups of ketchup
pinch of salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of paprika


Instructions:


Grab a large skillet and heat it up add some extra virgin olive oil and throw the veggies in there and the ground beef.  Let them cook together so the flavors all melt together.  Next add all your dried spices.  When your ground beef is cooked add in all your wet stuff like the ketchup and mustards and so on and then add the brown sugar.  Let it all cook for 20 minutes and serve it up. I used extra lean ground beef so I didnt have to drain the meat because there was very little fat to it anyway.  If you are using a less lean meat you might want to drain it before you add any spices or sauce to it.  I got this recipe from Atticus 9799 on youtube.  She has some great ideas you guys should check out her videos.  She also does a lot of canning and tips on gardening.  At any rate this recipe is very delicious and I hope you all try this.  Until tomorrow my friends live, laugh and love.

MishMawsh Chocolate Fudge


Hello everyone, so I figured today since its Friday I would close the week of sweets and treats with a quick and easy treat.  It takes 5 minutes to prep and about an hour or less if you cannot wait to set up.  I first saw this recipe on food network and since then I have worked on ways to make it different and a lot less mess even though its not that bad for mess to begin with.  However you do have to be quick about it because this stuff sets up immediately.  What is it that I am talking about you ask?  Fudge, chocolate fudge to be exact.  It only requires 3 ingredients and a microwave safe bowl and of course a microwave.  So lets get this started so we can enjoy our weekend !


Ingredients:


1 can of sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of chocolate chips I used milk chocolate but you can use whatever you have on hand
1/4 cup of butter make sure its unsalted otherwise it will taste weird.


Instructions:


Grab some parchment paper or wax paper.  Measure it out bigger than the pan your going to be putting your fudge on to set you will see why later.  From there you want to add your  milk, butter and chocolate all to a microwave safe bowl and put in the microwave for 3 minutes on high.  Make sure it doesnt boil over in the microwave, that has happened to me once or twice I must admit lol.  This is the part you really have to work fast you will want to mix this stuff up and pour it into the dish you have already lined with either wax paper or parchment.  Smooth it out and let it chill in the fridge for about an hour.  After its chilled to take it out of the pan all you need to do is grab the parchment paper or wax paper that is hanging around the edge of the pan.  This is why you want the paper your using to line the pan bigger so you dont have to fight with it.  Then all that is left to do is start cutting into it.  I hope you enjoy your weekend and please live, laugh and love.

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Blondies



Hi everyone, I hope you all enjoyed the chocogasm cake from yesterday.  Its a very sweet treat.  Going along with my sweets theme I came across these blondies while surfing YouTube videos for recipes for Christmas.  I was trying to find something different and even though blondies by themselves are not very different or interesting, this recipe from Atticus9799 on youtube struck a cord with me.  I tried making them and I didn't take a picture of them because I wasn't sure exactly how they would come out, since I cannot cook a brownie to save my life I knew that blondies were not going to be any better.  However I was wrong, they turned out wonderful, they were chewy, sticky and gooey bits of heaven and I gave them out as gifts to my family and they loved them.  Now I am kicking myself in the hind for not taking a picture of them for you.  I am going to share the recipe with you though and if you get a chance check out Noreen's videos on you tube.  I get a lot of recipe ideas from watching her videos.  So here we go!


Ingredients:


2 sticks of softened butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 cup of packed brown sugar
2  1/2 cups of flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of white chocolate chips
1 cup of caramel bites
1 cup of walnuts (optional)
1 cup of chocolate chips


Instructions:


Preheat your oven to 350, grab a large mixing bowl and cream the butter and sugars together.  One at a time mix in your eggs and add the vanilla.  From there slowly add in all the dry ingredients.  When it just comes together add in the nuts, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and caramel bites.  Mix it all up and put it in a greased cake pan.  You will have to use a cake pan because this recipe makes a lot and anything smaller will be awful to try to clean out of your oven.  Bake for about 20-30 minutes depending how done you want this.  I like it gooey so I bring it out when the center has a little bit of jiggle to it.  If you like a less chewy and gooey blondie keep it in there longer.  I recommend lining your cake pan with parchment paper instead of greasing it though because its easier to lift out and cut up and than trying to dig into your pans trying to get this sticky yummyness out of the pan.    I hope you love this as much as we all did live, laugh and love everyone!

Chocogasm Cake


Hello everyone, so today's recipe is a bit more involved but so worth it if you love chocolate.  This recipe has 4 different elements of chocolate.  This is not health food but its a great treat maybe once a year.  I have made this recipe once in the 5 years I have known this recipe.  If that tells you how decadent this recipe is.  There are a lot of elements to this recipe so let's get this started.


Ingredients for the cake:


2 cups of flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 cup of cocoa
1 cup of chocolate sauce ( you can use the stuff you use over ice cream if you dont have the homemade stuff we made Monday)
4 beaten eggs
1/4 cup of water


Ingredients for frosting glaze and drizzle


1 cup of butter
2 cups of milk chocolate chips
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
1 tablespoon of heavy whipping cream
1 cup of white chocolate chips


Instructions:


Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.  Grab a large mixing bowl and mix all your ingredients for your cake except the eggs.  You want to beat those in a small bowl and then add to the batter.  Grab a well greased cake pan and pour the batter in the pan.  Bake for about 30-45 minutes depending on your oven.
While the cake is in the oven its time to get started on the frosting.  You want to melt in a small sauce pan the butter and milk chocolate chips.  After the butter and chocolate chips have melted add in the powdered sugar, whipping cream and on low heat mix together. Take off the heat and let cool until the cake is done.  This frosting will thicken upon standing.  Next grab a microwave safe bowl and add your white chocolate chips.  Melt in the microwave you may need to add a little milk or cream just to loosen up the white chocolate.  When your cake is finished frost the cake with the milk chocolate frosting and its ok if the cake isnt cooled you want that gooeyness.  Then drizzle with the white chocolate and cut yourself a slice.  This is so rich and gooey, I wish I took of a picture of it when I made it but I didnt do blogs when I made this cake.  I hope you love it you chocolate lovers.  Until tomorrow live, laugh and love everyone!

Chocolate dipped Doodles



Hi everyone, so today we are doing a twist on snicker doodles.  I have made these cookies a million times and never once thought of taking a picture of them.  However from here on out whatever I cook I am taking a picture of it for future blogs.  I figured we could dip our snicker doodles in the chocolate sauce we made yesterday.  Oh and before I forget this week is not healthy and not figure friendly.  Stay tuned for tomorrow's recipe too because I have a recipe for you that will curb any chocolate craving you ever get.  Ok so let's make these cookies for the cookie monster that lives inside you.


Ingredients:


1 cup of butter softened
1 1/2 cups of sugar
2 eggs well beaten
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1teaspoon of baking powder


Instructions:


Cream the butter and sugar with a mixer.  Add the eggs one at a time until blended with the butter and sugar.  In a small bowl add all your dry ingredients and mix them together with a fork.  Next slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients, I usually add a 1/4 cup of dry at a time.  As the cookies mix together you will have to stop using your mixer and start using a spoon to mix all the ingredients together.  When its all mixed up,  grab a cookie sheet and make sure its not greased.  Make little balls of dough with your hands and put them on the cookie sheet.  Preheat your oven to 400 and bake for about 8-10 minutes.  Heat up some of the chocolate sauce we made yesterday.  Mix some sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.  When the cookies come out of the oven let them cool a little on the cookie sheet.  Next while the cookie is still warm to the touch coat the cookie in the sugar and cinnamon and then dip the cookie into the chocolate sauce.  Place on wax paper or parchment paper to cool.   Your done, you can have some of these with tea or coffee or take them to pot luck for dessert.  Have a great day everyone, live, laugh and love.
