BBQ Pulled Pork

Hi everyone I hope you are all doing well on this Wednesday.  Its storming here with rain, thunder and lightening.  A few weeks ago I made my family bbq pulled pork sandwiches with my macaroni salad that I put up on my blog yesterday.  I couldnt find the pictures we took of just the bbq pulled pork so I have to recycle this picture that I used yesterday for the salad.  Oh well You get the idea lol.  Here is the recipe!


1-2 pounds of a pork roast any kind will do even a tenderloin would work well
1 onion quartered
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
A Pinch of seasoning salt
black pepper to taste
1 cup of bbq sauce of your choice we use sweet baby ray's that is our favorite


Grab your pork roast and apply the seasonings on the roast on all sides.  Rub it into the meat.  Next quarter your onion and add it to your slow cooker along with the water.  Place the pork on top of the onions.  Add more water if you need to, just so the bottom half of the roast is covered.  Please do not cover the entire roast.  Cook on low for about 6-8 hours.  From here you take the roast out of the slow cooker and put into a large mixing bowl.  Break up the meat with two forks and add the bbq sauce.  You may need to add more depending on how much pork you use.  Mix it all up until its combined and put on a sub roll or some kind of sandwich bread.  It makes a great sandwich and gives you a lot of leftovers.  Live, laugh and love everyone!
